1. List your finished objects, or just list your favorite FO.
My favorite FOs are the Anouk dresses I made for my niece and (sson to be) niece-in-law. I also am happy about the socks I made this year.

2. List your works in progress:
My sister's xmas sweater (Samus from Knitty) and Joe's Valentine's Day socks

3. What skeletons are in your knitting basket?
Oh, I have a bunch of these. Socks that are unfinished, a hat or two I didn't get done, a sweater that was HIDEOUS that I made into arm warmers that were also HIDEOUS.

4. What's your favorite project?
Hats probably. I like simple small things so I don't lose interest too fast.

5. What project(s) will you never knit again?
raglan sweaters. They make me look like a football player.

6. What was your major knitting accomplishment for the last year?
Learning how to knit socks!

7. What's your favorite yarn from the last year?
Wool-ease

8. What's your favorite yarn overall?
I love chunky alpaca, but it's so pricey! So I use wool-ease most of the time.

9. What new knitting techniques have you learned?
This year i've learned how to make socks, and how to do a 3 needle bind-off.

10. What are your knitting goals for 2006?
Finish my sister's sweater! And Joe's socks! And I'd like to make some pretty sweaters for myself. And some knitted jewelry from the yarn Joe's family sent me for xmas.

11. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quality and/or natural
fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand?
i'm rapidly becoming a yarn snob, which bothers me because I don't have
enough money to be a snob! So I compromise and use wool-ease. I do avoid
red heart now, because it just doesn't feel good knitted up and pills really
bad.

12. Do you spin? Crochet?
Yes, I crochet, but don't spin.

13. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
I use one of the tall plastic ones that 6 little tubs of crystal light come
in. I also have a basket in my living room with needles in it.

14. How long have you been knitting? Would you consider your skill level to
be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
I've been knitting for several years. I don't remember when I first started
- college maybe. But I didn't do it for a long time. I'm an intermediate
knitter.

15. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
no. It's just depressing. I never get what I ask for!

16. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?
I love chocolate (my sis got me some of those white chocolate lindt truffles
for xmas - oh orgasmic). I also love hard sugar candy, like rock candy and
nerds. :)

17. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do?
oh boy. Um, I crochet (sometimes), sew, do smocking, make jewelry & soaps,
and am teaching myself how to quilt. I've also made a piece of furniture or
two.

18. What kind of music do you like to knit to?
retro 80s euro-trash (I'm with you on this one). I love me some Duran
Duran. I also like Sting and Enya. And Nine Inch Nails. And Ozzy. Um,
slightly eclectic here. :)

19. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color
family/season/palette you prefer? Any colors you just can't stand?
I love blues and aquas, and am currently having a thing for reds - dark and
bloody. I love greens but generally can't wear them that much - they make
me look pasty.

20. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
I have a sister, brother in law, 2 nieces, a mom, 2 niece kitties, and am
working on getting a husband (give me a few months!). ;)

21. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?
I made a poncho for myself and wore it and realized I look like a linebacker
in them. Too much shoulder, too much boob. I do wear scarves and hats and
gloves. I want some of those driving gloves with the holes cut out over the
knuckles.

22. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with?
I love wool. Except it makes my hands sweat. I like big yarns because they
work up so fast and I'm lazy and like immediate results.

23. What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
"synthetics, and anything that looks like Fruitty Pebbles cereal" - I'm with
you on this one too. I'd also add that I hate burlap and jute fibers. They
make me itch.

24. What is/are your current knitting obsession/s?
My current knitting obsession is with small things that don't take a lot of
time. I"m struggling bad with my sister's sweater because I"m so bored with
it!

25. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
I love to knit hats lately. They work up so fast and the decreases are so
pretty.

26. What are you knitting right now?
that damn sweater for rachel. I also just finished up 6 hats for charity
(told you I love making hats!). i also want to make some of those ruffley
arm things on knitty this month.

27. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?
absolutely!

28. Do you prefer straight or circular needles?
circulars. easier on the hands and just more comfortable to use.

29. Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
bamboo. again, easier on the hands. I"m a tight knitter so I get hand
cramps with aluminum needles.

30. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?
I wind my yarn by hand. :P

31. How did you learn to knit?
self-taught, out of a book with some god-awful sweaters in them. lol.

32. How old is your oldest UFO?
not old. I usually give up and re-wind the yarn so I don't have to look at
stuff I didn't finish. :)

33. What is your favorite animated character or a favorite animal/bird?
Bubbles from the Power Puff girls (What does this have to do with knittng?)

34. What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?
none. I just browse online.

35. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get
your hands on?
I did see a Debbie Bliss (I think) that I really want, and a pattern off of
Rebecca that I liked, but if they cost money I quit looking - I'm so cheap!

36. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn?
I want to learn Fair Isle so bad.

37. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?
I am a sock knitter. But obviously not a very diligent one, as Joe's socks
are still in 2 little balls of yarn. ;)

38. What are your favorite knitting weblinks?
